Benwood Spring Yard Sale- May 4th-5th.  An ad has been placed in the paper and on WCLE, Mix 104.1.  

Dear Homeowner:

Please make plans to join us on Feb. 7th at 6:30 pm at Michigan Ave. Baptist Church. The By-Laws require the presence, in person or by Proxy, of twenty-five percent (25%) of our members. Each lot owner has one vote.  This year, we will address all business items before any additional discussions are allowed to be brought to the floor.  We have been asked to do this so those who need to leave early can vote on our essential items and step out of the meeting.

If you are unable to attend, please fill out a Proxy (follow the link below).  You can designate any member to cast your vote.  You can mail, scan and e-mail, or fax us a copy of your proxy.   It is imperative that we have a quorum so we can carry on with the business of the Homeowner’s Association. If you are unable to attend, please take a few minutes to fill-out your proxy so that those in attendance will be able to hold our annual meeting.  In the past, we have had to hold two meetings in order to obtain a quorum.  This costs the Association additional funds that are needed to maintain our common areas.

Benwood has not been put on the clear list as of this afternoon by the county clean-up crews. This means one more pass will be made through our neighborhood. It is imperative that you place all debris at the edge of your property, as close to the road as possible. The crews cannot legally enter your yard. After this pass through our neighborhood, you will be solely responsible for removing any debris and will be held to our normal HOA restrictions.

If anyone has lost a set of  keys, please e-mail the Association at: benwoodhoa@gmail.com.  A homeowner has found a set and would like to return them.

We have rescheduled our yard sale for June 24th and 25th.  Signs will be posted and an ad will be put in the paper the week before.

I have talked to the County several times regarding debris removal for our subdivision.  They cannot and will not give us a definite date for removal.  As they are entering some areas, it is taking more or less time than expected.  Please move your debris to the curb if you need assistance with removal.  I know several of you have told me you do not want to place items in front of your home until you know they are coming.  Please do not wait to move your debris.  They are in our area.  Please click on the link below for specific instructions.  I know we are all tired of the mess, but please be patient.

I wanted to share a link to Mix 104.1’s website.  They have a listing of organizations that will help those in need.  Because many in Benwood may still be without internet service, please help us share this information.  If you know of anyone in need, please let us know or direct them to this list.
